YouTube Founder buy Delicious

Finally, Delicious will see a new phase. Duo founder of YouTube, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen finally buy Delicious. After rumored to be sold by Yahoo and find potential buyers, now officially a social bookmarking service ownership has found a new owner, the duo founder of YouTube.

From the official release posted Avos site, which is a new company that will be 'parent' of Delicious, explained that Yahoo! had agreed to sell Delicious to YouTube duo founder. There is no par value purchases mentioned.

Yahoo! still operate Delicious service until July 2011, as part of the transition period before all the data will move to a new owner, Avos. From the announcement on the blog Delicious also explained that from now, users will be directed to perform the login process (opt-in) to the Delicious services and approve the process of data transfer Delicious bookmarks to the new owner. With this process, users can still save the contact data all Delicious bookmarks data without interruption during the transition.


Avos Delicious will continue service, which means a social bookmarking service that was founded in 2003 and acquired by Yahoo! in 2005 will continue to serve their loyal users. Rumors termination of service Delicious by Yahoo! really had provoked much comment and reaction from loyal users.
